Kaajal Maheshwari having grown up in the once beautiful garden city of Bangalore – fresh air, clean water & food, open play spaces and being surrounded by greenery was a normal way of life. After she got married & moved to Hyderabad, She was blessed with a daughter. However she did suffer from postpartum depression followed by two miscarriages that left her completely shattered.
Until one day….. she got a message to take part in a peaceful protest to save 2,000 trees in the KBR National park from being chopped down to make way for a INR 20,000 crore Multilevel Flyover project. She did believe in development but it should be sustainable and keep the future generations’ quality of life in mind. That is when the green warrior mother in her woke up.
